Syncing your wearable device to Pulse ensures your workouts, heart rate, sleep, and activity data flow automatically into your dashboard. This guide covers the setup process for all supported devices.

Supported devices

Apple Watch
Garmin
Fitbit
Whoop
Polar
Coros

Green = auto-sync supported. Black = manual sync required.

Step-by-step setup

1

Open device settings

Go to Settings > Connected Devices in the Pulse app. Tap "Add new device."

2

Select your device brand

Choose your device manufacturer from the list. You'll be redirected to authorize the connection.

3

Authorize data sharing

Log in to your device's companion app and grant Pulse permission to read workout, heart rate, and activity data.

4

Confirm the sync

Return to Pulse. Your device should appear as "Connected." Historical data from the past 30 days will begin importing.

Pro tip: Enable background sync in your device's companion app for real-time data flow. This ensures your dashboard updates within minutes of finishing a workout.

Troubleshooting common issues

Device not appearing in the list

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that your device firmware is up to date. Some older models require a firmware update before they support third-party connections.

Data not syncing after connection

  • Force-close and reopen the Pulse app
  • Check that your device's companion app is running in the background
  • Verify your internet connection is stable
  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting the device
Known issue: Garmin Forerunner 255 users on firmware 12.18 may experience intermittent sync failures. Garmin has released firmware 12.20 which resolves this. Update via Garmin Connect.

Duplicate workout entries

If you log a workout manually in Pulse and also have it sync from your device, duplicates can appear. Go to your Activity Feed, tap the duplicate, and select "Merge" to combine them into a single entry.
